Travelling with Equipment

Finally, there’s a better option for getting all your equipment to a symposium than scrambling to find a vehicle big enough to transport all your cases and foams (not to mention dealing with expensive parking for a week in a busy city!) or lugging heavy cases with you to the airport and trying not to look as your fragile bells are thrown into the plane’s cargo hold!

IHS2016 is very excited to provide a service never-before offered at a handbell symposium. We are working with an officially contracted shipping and customs broker, North American Logistics Services Inc. (NALSI), to assist all delegates and marketplace exhibitors with the shipping of their equipment to Vancouver to not only ensure all of your items are safe and secure on their journey, but also that they are delivered directly to the Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) so all your equipment is waiting for you when you arrive at the symposium!

NALSI works closely with the Canada Border Services Agency to ensure all international shipments arrive without any unexpected delays or customs fees. We have also registered our event with the Canada Border Services Agency, which will allow NALSI to provide on-site customs clearance service directly at the VCC for all those who have pre-arranged shipping and customs paperwork with NALSI. This not only helps you save time and avoid unexpected customs fees, but will eliminate the likelihood of your equipment getting held-up at the border.

Below you’ll find links for NALSI’s Informational Flyer and a Shipping & Customs Clearance Instructions Kit that will provide you with more information, but we strongly encourage all delegates and exhibitors who are interested in using NALSI’s services to facilitate transporting their equipment to/from IHS2016 to contact NALSI directly regarding the specifics of their situation, and rates.

NALSI also provides additional services for those traveling to/from the USA due to their ability to work closely with US Customs and Border Protection, so all those traveling to, from or through the US are particularly encouraged to contact NALSI for rates and more details.
